European Tours

In 2004 I bought my Pocket Rocket Pro to take a vacation in the French Alps with Outfitter Tours. It was concurrent with the Tour de France, and we were able to watch the racers on L'Alpe d'Huez and the Col de la Madeleine.

I had such a good time that I went the following year on their tour of the Pyrenees, which also included a climb of Mt. Ventoux and a chance to ride the time trial course at St. Etienne.

In 2008 I bought a Tandem Two'sDay, which Anne and I rode in Tuscany and Provence, while Outfitter took care of our bags. Last year I rode the Route des Grandes Alpes, a beautiful and strenuous ride from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean.

This June, Outfitter will lead a Raid Pyrénéen from the Atlantic coast to the Mediterranean. I can heartily recommend Outfitter Tours. They are well organized, and they love Bike Fridays.
