Around the Bay in Melbourne

I have a New World Tourist and have previously extolled its virtues to you as a touring bike.

Now I am excited at its capability as a fairly speedy, endurance bike.

I rode the 210 km Around the Bay in a Day charity ride in Melbourne Australia on my trusty small wheeler. It took 9 hours 5 minutes; so about 23 kph which was a respectable average rate.

"Most importantly, I was comfortable throughout the 210 km ride and felt like I still had more kilometres in the tank when I reached the finish line.

"I had quite a few conversations during the ride explaining why I didn't have to pedal more to keep up with the big wheelers. Most entertaining."
