I received my new Air Llama a few weeks ago from the Andre Kroecher. He and his family own a few Bike Fridays from what I gather. I have been extremely pleased with the performance of the bike. The quality of the frame construction is second to none! The insert kit for the Ti beam arrived last week and I installed it. That went well and it gives me the peace of mind that the beam won't suddenly break. I find the suspension beam to perform very well and the insert makes it a little less "bouncy" while still absorbing all the high frequency stuff. It also makes the bike less likely to "launch" me in the air on a big bump. I consider the insert to not only be a fix but also an upgrade. A few thoughts: How far should the Ti beam go into the frame? It fits very snug and if I push it in a long way it is difficult to remove. What should I use as a lubricant for the Ti beam where it inserts in the frame? Should I use something like vaseline or Phil Woods grease? Thanks! -Larry

Today was the maiden voyage on my brand new Air Friday. Unbelievable is the only word that I can use to summarize my initial experience. The bike handles perfectly and with the ti beam, was as comfortable as any other bike that I have experienced. As a matter of fact, I'm considering selling my Trek 5200 and using the BF as my full time ride. My special thanks to Michael Kelly for his patience and understanding during the selection and fitting process (Don't worry, Michael, I won't be making any more changes). By the way, the coolness factor on the bike is very high, too. I received lots of comments and questions from fellow bikers on my ride today. I will recommend a BF to anyone. Great product, great service. THANKS!!!

Just finished another Dalmac Bike Ride 350 miles over 4 days of flats, large hills, and descents in upper lower Michigan on my Air Friday #3704 and was very happy how well the bike performed. I was the only rider on my route that road this bike and was always questioned about the durability and quality of the bike. The performance was impressive enough as I passed most riders except the semi pro folks on tandems. See the October 2001 Bicycling Magazine, Female with Best Legs, Chris Lawless, I passed her only once on a tandem but she would not be denied. This ride offers 1600 riders 5 routes that meet at the bridge to the UP MI. Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the bike. -- Greg Clugston, East Lansing, MI
