Perhaps more importantly, and depending on the tandem you choose, your Bike Friday Tandem will fold or pack so you can take it to places that previously seemed, well, tandem-proof.

Whether you choose a quick-fold Tandem Two’sDay, a light weight and powerful road and sport Tandem Traveler XL or a Family Traveler, your Bike Friday Tandem is built to fit, built to ride and built to pack. But most of all, your Bike Friday Tandem is built for fun!

The Family Tandem Traveler with the Select Group is a great starting tandem for a cycling family.
You can tour the world with your partner, or take your child to school. (Getting to be a very popular way to bond with your kids). The Family Tandem is the best next step for a trailer kid who is ready to start riding but not trustworthy on the road with all those cars.
Most unique to Bike Friday tandems is their low standover height compared to conventional tandems. This means an ability to not only fit well for large riders like conventional tandems but for smaller riders.
This means moms can be captains. And the Family in Family Tandem means the rear of the bike actualy comes down to that 4-year -ld stoker you are dying to teach cycling but want to keep them safe.
A common theme from parents is that the Family Tandem allows a bond with their child through the age of about 13 that they could get no other way. A Bike Friday customer won a new car with their essay on their special reletionship they develped with their child on their Family Tandem. They said it was the best investment they had ever made.
