Have spent time doing both loaded and supported tours of the California coast-line, Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Hawaii and numerous tours of Oregon. Raced while in college and for a while after school on an Eddy Merckx road bike with Columbus SLX tubing, 'cause steel is real. Started mountain biking in 1988 and have been going ever since. Mountain bike is a Gunnar Rockhound hardtail, of course steel - because it's real! Converted to single speed for year around riding in the wet Pacific NW. Also ride a Titus Racer X for events and long rides.
