I have an older Bike Friday with BIG DOG brakes. I would like to upgrage the brakes. What would be the price for this service?
Depending on the set-up of your bike, we can probably provide a V-style brake upgrade service. For this service, we strip the paint off your bike's fork, weld on the necessary studs to accomadate the new (and greatly improved) V-style brakes, then repaint to match.
At the time of this writing, the price for this service is US$250 including labor, Tektro V-style brakes and levers. In certain cases the cost may be higher. If you are considering a V-style brake upgrade, contact the Bike Friday service department to discuss the details.
