I hear that original twin-cable tikits from 2007 should be updated to the new single cable mechanism.
The twin-cable mechanism has been discontinued.
Please call Bike Friday to arrange for your upgrade kit, which is now a replacement of the entire stem.
Some customers have been using their '07 tikits with no problem at all. However, in light of the fact that some of the cables and latches have broken, we are updating bikes to the '08 stem. A competent home mechanic can do it, otherwise it should go back to a dealer or us - Rob English
