We started with the classic folding/packing frame design that made the New World Tourist and the Pocket Rocket famous. Then we beefed up the bracing, raised the bottom bracket to 11 inches (28cm), widened the forks and frame to accept knobbies (mountain bike tires) up to 2.1" (5.4cm) wide, then threw in optional suspension seat posts and stems: the result was a great mountain bike that's ready to travel to wherever you want to ride.

Of course, since Bike Fridays are custom-made, this is one mountain bike you can have your way; want touring bars for more hand positions? Want to swap your knobbies for a set of high-pressure slicks? No problem. This is one mountain bike that won't feel out of place when rocky ruts are replaced by smooth asphalt! And the component groups choices range from mild, to, well, wild.
