Checking bike on international flights

I plan on taking my Pocket Rocket next month on my first flight to Europe since 9/11. Any suggestion would be appreciated how to handle this best without TSA opening the suitcase and either damaging the contents or dropping them all over the place and failing to get them arranged properly in the suitcase again.
