Is there any possibility of Bike Friday doing a version with live
bamboo? If I could get a bikes that grew with my kids it would save a
fortune on new bikes every year.

You can also plant a stand of spare beams in your own garden as spares or hijack your granny's rattan chair which should provide at least four usable beams...
