Bamboo Friday

An amazingly detailed, lengthy, and ENTERTAINING description of this new
offering. However, some questions remain:

1. Can the bamboo beam be ordered in powder coat colors or is it
only available au naturale? (Powder coating might discourage attacks by
critters and pandas.)
--- For those who want to oxymoronicize the bamboo beam by painting it candy raspberry et al, they can do that at their leisure using ordinary spray can paint, as graffiti artists in China did when they vandalized the bamboo-clad Walmart that was trying to disguise itself as Mom and Pop (don't ask me how to say that in Chinese) noodle nook. It will most likely incinerate in the paint booth. We want to encourage buyers to think more naturally and leave the titanium for their Gucci spectacle frames and Audi TT keychains. We will also offer a bamboo 'skin' that you can download and print off and apply to your ti beam with a rubber cement if you simply want to look up to the nanosecond but are too recalcitrant to take the leap of faith and order one.

2. Since bamboo is cheaper than titanium, how much does it lower
the price of a similarly equipped bike?
--- Yes, you will be paying slightly less and a large percentage of the cultivation costs are equal exchange and benefit the farmers of the Wun Hung Lo province where the initial supply bamboo comes from. We'll be sourcing some Oregon varietals so we can start applying a little oval sticker saying 'Grown in Oregon'.

3. What is the cost to retrofit a Ti beam bike with a bamboo beam?
--- let's see now, how much will you pay me to undo a couple of allen bolts, whack out your beam and whack in this new one? Labor cost is zero, but the beam itself will be in the order of $100. A steel! I mean, steal.
