Take my bike to the shop

So I wanted to take my tandem in to the bike shop and leave it there.
It won't fit in my car. I don't want to try it on my trunk hugger bike rack. That leave riding it in. SO how do I get back.
Fold up the Bike Friday and stick it into a bike trailer attached to the tandem. At the the bike shop just whip it out and swap the trailer.
Actually much easier than trying to finagle a long bike with a short car.
