Repacking a SRAm Hub

Anyone had experience repacking a SRAM 3X7 hub? I cleaned and repacked
mine but have two problems. First, the wheel seems loose. When you grab=
the rim and test the bearings for adjustment it seems that there is a fai=
r
amount of play (the rim moves about 1/8 to a 1/4 of an inch side to side)=
. =
Second, the hub seems stuck. When you try to pedal the rear wheel remain=
s
fixed -- in fact the gears will not move at all. I think this is a simpl=
e
issue but have not gone back inside the hub to try and figure it out,
rather I just put the bike aside before I break something or got some wis=
e
counsel in this area. Any sound advice will be welcome and greatly
appreciated. Right now my plan is to send the rear wheel off to BF and
have them completely overhaul it for $40.

Did you ride it loose before repacking it? If you did there is a good chance
the large bearing under the freehub is bent. If so just get a new one
bearing that is. How did you clean it? I doubt it was dirty so you have
probaly just washed out all the grease. When you put it back together you
need to tighten the drive side up then adjust it from the other side as you
would any other set of cones.
If you can do cones then you can save $40.00 it is not to difficult just
take your time.Do not ride it loose though!!!!
