MEXICO Good tour company

Hi guys- I sent a message sometime ago requesting
info. on Mexico Touring. I want to thank everyone
that responded with advice. To follow up, we booked a
holiday tour with these folks:

They didn't have anything for our dates (christmas-new
years), so their sister company set up a custom tour
initially just for us, although they will accept
additional people:

We will explore the highlands of chiapas mexico
(southern most tip of mexico, just north of
guatemala). The guides are real cyclists, in fact
they operate the only bike shop in the region, and the
fees very reasonable (but no sag wagon, you have to
carry your own stuff). I also like that we are
supporting the local economy, rather than going
through some big US operator. I just thought I'd let
others know in case they are interested. They seem
like really nice people, and have gotten good reviews
in many of the standard guide books.

I will be riding my new pocket rocket pro, and my
husband his NWT, although we will outfit them with 1
3/8" tires. They will be on moutain bikes, but said
we should be OK except for one day where they plan to
go off road but they'll figure out something else for
us. It did make me wonder if I should have gone with
the tourlite crusoe, but then she is soo faaast on
club rides, and I hate to ride really fat tires on
pavement....

I am settling in very nicely on my pocket rocket pro.
I had no problem adjusting to the drop handelbars, and
in fact don't know how I ever road with straight bars,
they are so much more aerodynamically effecient, and I
love not just the varied hand positions, but the
varied body positions.
