THE HANDSOMEST MAN IN CUBA is an apolitical, no-bucket-baths-spared tale of what it is like to eat, drink and be cautiously merry among ordinary and not-so ordinary Cubans, as told by this Chinese-Australian bicycle traveler who can take almost anything that is flung at her - and almost everything is. Traveling to Cuba is not a problem for Americans - I tell you how. The book features a foreword by acclaimed author The Metal Cowboy, technical advice, 8 pages of color photos and a compelling narrative that you 'can't put down' according to more than a dozen 5-star reviews on Amazon.com.

I am reaching out to as many Bike Friday owners who may have friends in peachy places for help with contacts re bike clubs, travel clubs, bookstores, radio, press and TV. If you can help him get out there and tell the public about the real Cuba, please do! Email lynchiang | at | yahoo | dot |com

The challenge of this tour is using mass transit only - trains, buses and the Bike Friday in its TravelBag and suitcase trailer - the bicycle way of life. Picture me hauling that suitcase in and out of elevators and in subways...

Here's where you can see the Galfromdownunder and the Handsomest Man in Cuba - tell your friends. You can buy the book direct from Bike Friday, Amazon.com, or support your local bookstore (tell them they can get it direct from Small Wheel Press / Bike Friday 1-800-777-0258, service | at | bikefriday | dot | com or via distributer www.partners-west.com). Borders/Waldenbooks Inc have ordered it for some of the talks - they're not small and local, but at least they've ordered it!
