Our brand new Bike Friday Samsonite F'lite TravelCases are easier to pull through an airport, easier to pack, and still just as light. The dimensions are larger and the shape is more uniform, so you can fit more in the case and fit the bike in either direction. Now you can more easily pack your helmet and Travel Trailer in with your travel bike.
Complete your travel system with a TravelTrailer frame. Attach the wheels and bars to your bike suitcase, then let the trailer tow your gear when touring.
The new TravelCase interior dimensions are approximately 29.5 x 20.3 x 10 inches (75 x 51.6 x 25.4 cm). With outside dimensions of approximately 31.5 x 23 x 11 inches (80 x 58.4 x 28 cm), it may be a wee bit over some airlines' published no-surcharge size (depending on how you measure it), neither we at Bike Friday nor the nice folks at Samsonite have heard of any oversize luggage fees being assessed. Check with your airline to be sure if you're concerned.
The reason the case is easier to pull through the airport because the handle is on the longer (20.3 inch) end instead of the shortest end.
Every Bike Friday suitcase (TravelCase) comes with the following:
- Toolkit: headset/pedal wrench; 2,3,4,5,6,8mm multitool; 4mm ball-end hex wrench; gloves
- Bike-specific packing video
- Fork spreader
- Case crush protector
- Chain strap
- Assortment of plastic tubing and felt bags to protect the components and frame paint (some not shown)
