1994 my first Bike Friday crossed the Atlantic. 1995 got in touch with Maynard Hershon and purchased his book through another BF-advocate in the person of Derek Liecty who happend to pass through Amsterdam several times. Derek even stayed for a summer in our appartment to coordinate the Gay Games (pseudo Olympics ) an organisation he has been very much active for, he specialized in the cycling diciplines ofcourse.I did scan the kind words Maynard did write in his book full of anecdotes just to show you how long Maynard and I already do know about Bike Friday.Ofcourse it was good hear / find out Maynard finaly did fall in love with a BF Rocket for real. BF does very well in our shop in Amsterdam, maily the Llama's for the real-traveling-people.Have a good cycling season with loads of " happy & safe miles ". |
