Jersey Back and front

May 10, 2003: The new Bike Friday Homecoming 'Map' Jersey is now ready to ride!

The Bike Friday Map Jersey has already been coveted by such diverse souls as skiers, mountaineers, marathoners and gasp - even folks who don't ever intend on owning a Bike Friday (so they say).

Let's take a close look at the design, which was originally inspired by customer Geoffrey Salter, then workshopped by the team aided and abetted by Pocket Rocket owner and NY cartographer Ross Gould, to result in some scintillating details like:

* The birthplace of Bike Friday, Fargo, where Alan and Hanz Scholz were born

* Places around the world where there are major Bike Friday dealers and customer evangelists, including Australia, Amsterdam, Calgary and Japan

* A little wind cloud blowing a Bike Friday folding bicycle ever onwards, forwards...

* WWW.BIKEFRIDAY.COM emblazened down both sides, and a giant Performance that Packs so that you become an unashamedly stylish moving billboard for Bike Friday

* A compass so you know which way is north when you get lost

* A cry that can be heard to the ends of the earth: "Let There Be Small Wheels"....

* Bike Friday Epicenter, Eugene OR, clearly marked so you know where to go when you come and visit us.

For less romantic and more technical, the jersey is blue and yellow with a generous 15" zip. It's made from the latest 100% polyester Microdry technical fabric, chosen specifically for its superb wicking honeycomb structure. 'Feels great on!'said a Bike Friday employee who doesn't normally wear jerseys.

Proudly made by Bike Friday owners Vince and Kathy O'Donnell and their company Vomax in Massachusetts.

To help you with your sizing, Vomax have provided this information:

This information is for reference purposes only and does not guarantee individual fit by dimension or preference. Club jersey sizing is one size larger than racing jersey sizing and ~1" shorter than the same sized racing cut jersey, e.g. a large club cut jersey has equivalent horizontal dimensions as the extra large racing cut jersey, but is ~1" shorter than extra large racing cut jersey. Simply restated, the club cut jerseys are roomier than the equivalently sized racing cut jerseys and provide a more relaxed fit. All sizes in inches:

Size (American), Chest measurement (rider), Waist measurement (rider)

xsmall, 32-35, 26"-29"

small, 35-38, 29"-32"

medium, 38-42, 31"-34"

large, 42-45, 34"-37"

xlarge, 45-48, 37"-40"

xxlarge, 48-5, 40"-43"

xxxlarge, 50-53, 43"-46"

xxxxlarge, 53-55

How much? $US75. But if you are a bona fide Bike Friday Club Leader you get one for free.

How to order? It and all this blurb will in the e-catalog anytime soon now. Meanwhile, contact service@bikefriday.com, 1-800-777-0258 to snare one of these rapidly disappearing species...
