See photos from the 2007 Tokyo, Mt. Fuji & Kyoto Tour organized by Ruthy Kanagy, Bike Friday Travel Consultant. We had a great time touring Tokyo and Kyoto with the Japanese Bike Friday community. It was unusually HOT, but great fun. Thank you to 'Cycle Tokyo!' volunteers (contact them if you go to Tokyo), Kansai area BF riders, and BF dealer Mr. Kataoka for guiding us. A highlight was riding 4,000 ft/1,200 meters up Mt. Fuji on our Bike Fridays. Pictures from the 2006 Hokkaido Cycle Tour.
Japanese cyclists love little wheels. There's strong Friday following, thanks to the work of our Japanese dealers and our Ambassador to Asia, Ruthy Kanagy. Here's a collection of travel tales from the land of the rising sun ... the perfect time for an early morning spin!

BELOW: Peter Maddalena has ridden Hokkaido twice, and in 2006 on his Bike Friday Crusoe. The verdict: I just got back from 13 days of riding my bike around Hokkaido. I camped every day and rode an average of 75km a day. I climbed a mountain. I was way up north near Russia and it was unusually cold, in the sixties. I was forced to eat nothing but fresh seafood and most of my campsites were next to natural hotsprings. [Heavenly haiku - sign me up! - Ed]
