| With fit stem about to be replaced with the real thing, this fat tire Twin Air is about to be test ridden by its new owners. |
Let's have several laps around the Bike Friday carpark to iron out any kinks... |
Rides good! An unusual touring Twin Air, complete with H-bars, GD folding rear rack, fenders and fat tires, Rohloff hub, tuned and ready to pack. It's not the normal drop-bar, 451 wheel racing TwinAir, but it will pack just as fine in the single suitcase. |
Lay the green felt blanket in the case. Locate the main drive crank (left side of bike, rear). |
Put the crank in its blue felt bag |

| We've taken out that crank temporarily to show you how the two main tube halves are going to sit like this... the big crank in its bag will sit under this two sections. |
The triangular section that joins stoker to captain goes in its blue feltt bag. The rear end with derailleur sits on the side of the case closest to the suitcase handle like so |
Rear end in its big blue bag. Slip clear plastic tubes over seatposts. |
Slip blue vinyl sleeves over captain section for protection. It's a good idea to experiment with seat and wheel placement and check the height of the package by closing the suitcase. Let handlebars and cables sit outside for the moment. |
Juggle the sections until it all sits right! |

|
| Slip grey felt bag over captain fork. You might have to experiment with placement of the loose parts - handlebars and seats. This looks like a better arrangement. |
Place crush protector |
Stems will go at the back of the suitcase |
Place stems in red felt bags |
Experiment with rear wheel placement |
