All of us Bed on tatami mat Dancer Dinner in ryokan Doorway to Hell
The tour group - spot the little wheels Like camping wihtout the sticks and bigs - a bed on a tatami mat. Sweet! This is what little boys do here - as well as play video games. Dinner at an inn (ryokan). Delicious is an extreme understatement. Hell's doorway. Or nature's sauna.
Garden by the road Inside a market My room in an inn Newspaper (large) Peace garden
A suburban garden - what a nice change from leaf-blowers, manicured lawns and concrete drives! This is what a market looks like in Japan. A nice change from fluorescent lights, bland aisles and muzak, right? Jackies's room at an inn - a nice change from puffy sofas and giant TV's (or maybe there's one in that cabinet). Jackie was interviewed for a local paper. A great souvenir, even if she can't read it! Peace garden. Let's build these all over the world, please.
Rashomon trees Riding with flags-1 Seawall, view of Rus#10015 Takahasi san in Mari#10016 Team America
Rashomon trees. Efforts to Google this pointed only to Kurosawa's 1952 Oscar-winning movie of the same name. Go rent it, if you want to see more of these trees. Jackie lets Japan know where she hails from. Do Americans really ride funny little bikes? We thought they drove Hummers! Seawall made of abandoned giant concrete bagel sculpture; a Russian island over yonder. Takahasi san, support rider. Team America - Jackie with a couple of brothers from Southern California.
