BikePartners.net principal, Geoffrey Smith, is a man with a passion for bicycling. A long-distance touring cyclist since high school days, he was founding business manager of the UCSD Bike Shop in La Jolla/San Diego, CA while a student. There he honed his skills in bicycle repair, inventory control, sales, customer relations and marketing. An accomplished group outings leader for bicycling, backpacking, backcountry skiing and kayaking, Geoffrey excels at matching people to their equipment, and at facilitating safe and enjoyable outdoor recreation experiences.

Geoffrey began his love for bicycling while living in Santa Rosa as a young boy.  Here, through his family's involvement with the Santa Rosa Bicycle Club, Geoffrey experienced great joy riding high-quality Italian racing bikes, and touring the scenic byways of Sonoma County.  In 2004, when faced with the prospect of boxing up a full-sized touring tandem for a flight to Europe, Geoffrey and his wife and business partner Camille Armstrong instead purchased a gently-used Bike Friday ‘Tandem XL’ with a pair of travel suitcases. The painless experience of checking their Bike Friday tandem as two pieces of luggage on board the plane made them 20” folding bike converts for life.

Geoffrey and Camille, sole proprietors of BikePartners.net, hope to share the love they feel for Bike Friday folding bikes with the ever-increasing market of physically fit tourists seeking two-wheeled adventures.
