Amsterdam, Netherlands  JanWillem started his own bike shop 14 years ago. Repairing and upgrading all sorts of bikes, he started more and more building race and Trekking bikes. JanWillem launched his own brand, MEES, in 1999 and that is when he started to become a real specialist in high-end bicycles. Beside his own brand he started selling famous brands like DUELL, and real masterpieces from Dario Pegoretti. In 2003, he met Enno Roosink who was looking for a shop to sell Bike Friday folding bicycles. The first riding experience on a BF Pocket Rocket was totally convincing. “It really was one of the most crazy bike experiences I ever had. Your mind says 20” wheels can’t be good, but riding it gives a complete opposite feeling!!” I fell in love!! Bike Friday is also a THE solution for many of my clients who have been taking their big-wheeled bikes on a plane. You hear stories about 15 bikes being staged on top of each other.
