BIKING ON BODENSEE ...
"Bike Friday goes round Lake Constance (Bodensee), probably not for the first time, but the first time for us! The bike performed very well indeed. The 3-speed hub is truly the best thing since sliced bread -- most of the time the derailleur was set at 7, and all shifting was done in the hub (start 1, get going 2, cruise 3).
Only one complaint -- the trailer seems to get heavier as the day wears on. Easy pulling in the morning, not so easy in the afternoon -- it would be good to reverse that.
Anyway, this was our first lengthy trip with it -- 230km -- on a track that is good for a tandem, with many reasonable places to stay along the shore, and excellent food at very reasonable prices (at least in Austria/Germany)."
