While visiting family in San Francisco, I often bike across the GGB into Sausalito for morning coffee. The thrill of riding the bridge over the Gate is tempered by having to dodge the waves of commuters coming the other way, but the ferry ride back to the city puts all that to rest. Occasionally, I will take a shortcut through Cavallo Point (formerly Fort Baker) on the Marin side of the Gate.
