My wife and I moved to Eugene, Oregon from Stillwater, Oklahoma shortly after we married. We moved to West coast to see a little more of America after spending our entire lives living in Oklahoma.

We packed up a Ford Ranger with a camper on the back, filled it to the brim with our belonging and headed west. We had set aside a year or two to spend on the west coast and had full intentions of moving back.

We arrived in Eugene without job, friends, or a home. Just our Golden Retriever, Harper, and what little we could fit into the small truck. We quickly got settled and found jobs working in the coffee industry.

We fell in love with a tiny "house church" who shared the love of Jesus Christ to the homeless. Eugene was just the adventure we we're hoping for. Time flew and it would soon be time to return to the red dirt state. My daily commute to work took me by the Bike Friday headquarters.

I had never seen a "folding bike" in the mid-west and my curiosity led me in the front doors of Bike Friday where I met the friendliest folks on the west coast. I quickly bought a Friday for myself and my wife and we planned a tour. A tour that would take us home to Stillwater. We sold the truck and shipped our belongings home (including Harper).

We left with everything we owned on our bikes and began our first bike tour. We didn't know what we were doing, so we prayed continuously and God showed us his beautiful creation as we slowly moved across the country. What a bike! What an adventure! Blessings, The Woods
