Inspired by Lynette Chang’s book about her solo ride around Cuba, my wife and I decided to buy a Bike Friday Family Tandem Traveller, pack everything into a couple of suitcases (yes 2), and head off on an 8 month adventure. What followed was arguably the best holiday we have ever had - one month cycling in Cuba, followed by 7 months in France. Our two sons (9 & 11 at the time) came with me on the triple, along with all our possessions in the trailer. The photos attached to this article are from the Cuban sector of the trip. Cuba is a wonderful country to travel by bike, and on a Bike Friday triple we attracted plenty of attention from the locals (all positive of course). Anyway, read Lynette’s book if you want the details about cycling in Cuba, I’ll let the photos do the talking.
