Chapter Leader: CA - Inland Empire (San Bernardino/Riverside) Chapter

I've been into bicycling seriously since 1986, doing a lot of riding with a local bicycling club. Having three kids born from 1994 to 1998, the focus of my riding has shifted from riding by myself to riding with my kids. With my Traveler Q, I usually take one or two (second on my Burley Piccolo) of my kids with me (the youngest has outgrown the trailer shown in my photo). Read about my BF 'train'.

The primary ride I want to lead for the BF club is along the Santa Ana River Trail from Yorba Linda Park to Newport Beach and back for a total of 50 miles. Those not wishing to ride as far can start at a park about halfway to the beach for a 25 mile round trip. There's a nice little breakfast place near the beach that we'll stop and eat before turning around. The great thing about this ride that it basically avoids traffic completely - a pretty decent ride for Southern California!

My bike is a Traveler Q which has become my primary bike (I also have a Specialized Allez M2 road bike and a Specialized mountain bike that I rarely touch since I got my Bike Friday). The club I currently ride with (Cycling Connection) is listed as serving the Inland Empire as well.
