John is a health care executive at Chicago's oldest hospice and palliative care agency and a part-time university philosophy instructor. Originally from New Hampshire, John has lived and traveled extensively in developing nations while being engaged in social justice and health care work. He now hopes to return to these places (and others!) with his Pocket Llama.
"We had a great time riding along the lake front south to our new greener Presidents neighborhood in Hyde Park. Note the Sears tower in the center and the soon to be completed Trump tower on the left. For those visiting feel free to look us up so we can share our bike friendly city."
As from 2008 there is now a special BF Club of Chicago Chapter led by John Stys. He says: "The plans for the Chicago Club are threefold: 1) to build community amongst cyclists, 2) to encourage getting out of the house and onto the bike, and 3) to promote traveling with bikes by planning and executing trips."
