David, a Board Member of the Anchorage-based Arctic Bike Club, has 'xtreme' knowledge and experience of biking and touring. Betty rides a New World Tourist, and they both love meeting fellow BF owners who dare to venture to the land 'where people are bold'.
The Bike Friday Club of Anchorage was founded one drizzly August 2002 afternoon in Kincaid park, where a dozen or so Bike Friday owners gathered to ride the Tony Knowles trail. This wonderful 15 mile trail is an exercise in visionary thinking, a meander through beautiful woodlands and lakeshore, past little light planes ready to escape the icicles (with a Bike Friday in the hold of course) and yes, the odd moose! Anchorage is also the home of The Bicycle shop, a Bike Friday Test Ride dealer.
