You know how some people caption our Fridays (affectionately) 'kids' bikes' and (sometimes affectionately) 'clown bikes'?
Well, this picture would paint a thousand schoolboy sniggers, except that JB Friday, a cleverly- christened forestry dad based in Hilo, Hawaii, has been there, done that, thrice over with his Pocket Llama. He and forestry spouse Katie regularly pack their Fridays into their suitcases and travel to neighboring islands and the Philippines in the name of ridding the world of invasive species. Of course, their job would be made a lot easier if we ridded the planet of the most invasive species of all, but I'll pull my feathered head in here and hand the mike over to JB ...
Here's a picture of our scout group (Troop 78, Hilo) halfway through our 50 mile ride at the Pololu valley lookout in North Kohala. Three of us dads all got University of Hawaii jerseys for the occasion. I rode the Pocket Llama on this and all the other rides ...
