"Who is that beautiful Bike Friday in the background?" askes Paul Adkins, on seeing this photo of Ryan Bowen cross country commuting to Washington. It's one of those Princess Pink Fridays, some of which are featured on the PinkBike Site. Who is that mystery femme on a Friday? See the answer below! While in DC, Ryan got some down-home Friday Friendly hospitality from BF Club of Washington DC leader Charmaine Ruppolt. THE PINK FRIDAY FINGERED! Thanks to John Pickett for his sleuthing: The owner of the pink Bike Friday is Lauri Dubia. Her picture is prominently featured on the Pink Bike web page. Incidentally, Ryan Bowen and his entourage stayed for several nights at the Mount Vernon VA home of Charmaine Ruppolt, head of the Bike Friday Club of DC. Charmaine and her roommate Melinda escorted Ryan on their Bike Fridays into the city, picking up Lauri and many others just before crossing the Potomac. - JP

MORE INAUGURATION ON A FRIDAY

THE BEST SEATS OUTSIDE THE 'HOUSE
Both my brother and uncle were in town for the inauguration since they had scored tickets. They were trying to figure out the best way downtown, given that driving was insane and the metro would be packed. Since the Washington Area Bicycle Association had organized bike valet parking, and both were avid
cyclists, I sent them down on my Bike Friday Family Tandem. It took less than two minutes to get the seats adjusted for my 6 foot brother and (much) shorter uncle. They had a blast getting down there and posted the photo from location via facebook.
