Our team of Bike Consultants includes individuals who were Bike Friday clients first, then came here to join the team. We have others who have worked in a number of departments here including the production line.
All of our Bike Consultants are cyclists. They log thousands of miles each year on their Bike Fridays, and embody the essence of our company. They love cycling and want to share the experience with you.
PETER BERRA
The senior member of our consultant team with more than 10 years experience working in various departments here, Peter owns five Bike Fridays. His travels have taken him on road and off around North America and Australia. He's intimate with the tribal knowledge of Bike Friday and relies on his experience in production and testing to offer keen insight to make certain we build the right bike for you.
Walter Lapchynski
For more than 10 years Walter has been working his way through the various departments of Bike Friday, giving him the ability to look at any bicycle issue from a number of perspectives including production and service. He writes a blog on commuting, rides every day and keeps his finger on the pulse of cycling. He can talk specs with racing pros or family tandem with a parent new to cycling. He knows the fixie scene, and understands how to solve special needs. No matter what the case, he keeps the focus on what's best for your needs.
Ruthy Kanagy
Ruthy got hooked on cycling later in life, and combined that with her linguistic skills (she speaks French and Japanese) to lead bicycle tours to Japan. After she bought a Bike Friday, she came to work for us. She remembers what it's like to be a newcomer. She loves sharing her touring expertise and extensive knowledge of Asia with everyone. More than anything, she wants to share the joy of cycling, and can help you choose your bike for road riding, touring, recreation or other adventures.
Aron has been around cycling since he was a kid and not just riding around the block. He grew up at Bike Friday because his mom and dad have worked here too. He may be young in years but is an old soul and is very patient and laid back. Aron would love to help you with your new bike design.
Eric is our newest addition to the Bike Friday family. He is very enthusiastic and enjoying working in the cycling industry. He is an avid Mountain biker but has drank the Koolaid, and is now commuting to work on his new Pocket Rocket when ever he can.
