"WE BOUGHT the Pocket Llamas and TravelTrailers especially to finish the Dempster dirt highway above the Arctic Circle, then biked the remaining 2200 miles of our trip to Bellingham, WA. We rode under all road conditions to wilderness campsites and never had problem. In our eyes they are the best bikes!" Dick and Ingrid Adams,
EXTREME WINTERSPORTS CHAMP and Air Glide owner Rocky Reifenstuhl is right at home with the chilly sports set having won the famous Iditasport race 7 times, and now the 350-mile YAU 2004 for the SECOND time - all at the tender age of 51 1/2. He says: "My AirGlide accompanies me on all my business traveling. The Bike Friday allows me to ride most everyday of the year and stay in shape for my endurance racing and ultraendurance events, like the February 350 mile bike race on the snow bound trails of the Iditarod Trail. To be able to race well I have to have a bike that I can travel with anywhere, set up quickly and most importantly feels and rides like my racing bikes. I love my Bike Friday. Don't go anywhere without one!"
FAMILY TANDEM POLO! "Just wanted to say I love the Family Tandem I picked up in Eugene. I attached a Rhode Gear baby seat to the back and a basket in front and it works for the three of us great." - Greg Haun

How to get your Built-to-Order or a Standard Bike Friday
How to get your Built-to-Order or a Standard Bike Friday
Finding which Bike Friday is right for You.
First you call us at the factory (Eugene, Oregon) and talk to our friendly Bike Friday consultants (shown above) about your cycling needs. If there is a Bike Friday dealer in your area, you can visit them for a test ride.
Once your Bike Friday consultant or local dealer understands your cycling needs they will suggest a design or two that best fits those needs. Our specialty at Green Gear Cycling is to design and build a Bike Friday that fits you, has the equipment of your choice, and a color you love. A bike you will want to give a pet name! This is called Built to Order.
We also offer several Standard Bike Fridays for those who don't need or desire Built to Order. More details on How to Order
Building Your Bike Friday
Starting with raw cromoly steel tubing we cut each tube to your size and build the frame of your bike in our Eugene Oregon factory. After welding the frame together we paint it with powder coat and bake it in the oven at 215 degrees for 25 minutes. We build the wheels by hand and then assemble the painted frame into your new Bike Friday.
After testing your bike on its first ride on the bike path out back, we pack it into a box or suitcase and ship it to you. If you order from us we then ship it to the location of your choice. If you order through a dealer we ship it to their shop for you to collect.
Joining the Community
Once you receive your Bike Friday you are automatically part of a worldwide community of friendly and adventurous riders. Dotted around the world are our Bike Friday Clubs which always welcome new members.
Friday Friendly Tour Companies, owned and operated by experienced Bike Friday riders are a great source of trips that make our unique bikes especially welcome. Trip pictures and stories can be found on our community page, blog and the Bike Friday Gallery
John Schubert of the Adventure Cyclist Magazine said:
"It's still the cheapest traveling fraternity you'll ever join, and probably less than half the price of any other bike built to measure."
